EIZO has unveiled the Eizo ColorEdge CG3200X - a 31.5‑inch 4K UHD OLED monitor engineered specifically for HDR post‑production workflows. As the first OLED model in the ColorEdge family, it brings the company's long‑standing color‑management expertise to QD‑OLED technology, offering creators a new level of precision for projects mastered in HLG, PQ, or SDR. With peak brightness reaching 1000 cd/m², full‑screen white at 300 cd/m², and a contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1, the CG3200X is designed to reproduce both highlights and deep shadows with exceptional fidelity.
Modern HDR workflows demand accurate luminance handling, yet conventional OLED panels often struggle with Automatic Brightness Limiter behavior that dims the screen during bright scenes. EIZO addresses this challenge with a newly developed ABL control system that sustains higher luminance thresholds before dimming occurs. When ABL does activate, editors can choose between Highlight Dimming, which reduces brightness only in the brightest areas, or Uniform Dimming, which adjusts luminance evenly across the screen. The ABL Safe View mode further supports highlight evaluation by reducing the active display area to 10% or 25%, lowering average brightness and reducing the likelihood of dimming. A luminance warning and a front‑bezel indicator provide clear visibility into ABL activity during critical review sessions.
Because SDR content is typically mastered for displays with far lower contrast, the CG3200X allows users to set a custom contrast ratio between 500:1 and 2000:1 in 100‑step increments, ensuring more accurate SDR representation on an OLED panel. High-contrast edges in text and fine details can also exhibit color fringing on conventional OLED monitors. The CG3200X has a dedicated correction circuit to suppress these artifacts, resulting in cleaner, more natural edge reproduction.
To maintain long‑term accuracy, the CG3200X features Eizo's built‑in calibration sensor, now refined for quieter operation. The monitor covers 99% of the DCI‑P3 color space and uses an Anti‑Glare, Low‑Reflection screen for comfortable viewing. Additional capabilities include a Sync Signal function that automatically selects the correct color mode based on the incoming video signal, USB Type‑C connectivity with 60W power delivery, DisplayPort and HDMI inputs, and a suite of burn‑in protection features. A magnetic shading hood is included, and the model is backed by a five‑year manufacturer's warranty.
The Eizo ColorEdge CG3200X will be showcased at IBC 2026 in Amsterdam and Inter BEE 2026 in Chiba, where visitors can see the monitor in action. Shipping begins later in 2026, with availability varying by region.
