It is positioned as a premium, but broadly accessible alternative to high‑end Mini LED sets from Samsung, Sony, and TCL. All three US models use 4K VA panels with a typical brightness of 800 nits and peak highlights reaching up to 5000 nits. Local dimming performance scales with size: the 100-inch model features 1920 zones, the 85‑inch model features 1320 zones, the 75‑inch version includes 1056 zones, and the 65‑inch model carries 980 zones. Hisense applies an anti‑reflection coating and a glare‑free layer to improve daytime visibility, and the series holds TÜV Rheinland certification for hardware‑level low blue light reduction. HDR support includes Dolby Vision IQ, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HLG.
For gamers, the UR9S series introduces 180 Hz panels to Hisense's US premium LCD lineup for the first time. PC users can push refresh rates up to 330 Hz at 1080p, and the TVs are AMD FreeSync Premium Pro certified. Hisense's Game Bar and Game Mode Pro return with latency and motion enhancements tailored for next‑gen consoles and high‑frame‑rate PC gaming. In North America, the series ships with Google TV with Gemini and Google Cast built-in. They also arrive with a brand-new backlit voice remote control.
Audio performance receives an equally ambitious upgrade. The built‑in 4.1.2‑channel system (6.2.2 CH ad 110 for the 100" model) is tuned by Devialet, delivering a wide, cinematic soundstage with convincing height effects. Dolby Atmos, WiSA SoundSend, Hi‑Concerto, and AI Sound processing are all supported. Connectivity is comprehensive for the US market, including USB‑A 3.0 and 2.0 ports, a USB‑C upstream port with 10W power delivery, Ethernet, three HDMI 2.1 ports with high‑frame‑rate support, optical audio out, and a cable/antenna input.
