The Philips 27M4N8800 is the latest Evnia 8000 esports monitor. It is built on a 4th‑generation QD‑OLED architecture with a Penta Tandem stack and EL Gen 3 emissive material, a combination designed to improve brightness efficiency, color stability, and long‑term durability. Its triangular RGB sub‑pixel layout - featuring quadrilateral‑shaped sub‑pixels - continues the industry’s shift toward refined pixel geometry for sharper text and cleaner gradients.
The display measures 26.5 inches diagonally and offers a 4K UHD resolution at up to 165Hz over both HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4. With a pixel density of 166 PPI and a pixel pitch of 0.153 mm, the screen delivers crisp detail across its 589.97 x 332.93 mm active area. The panel carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification, supported by a brightness profile that reaches 250 nits in SDR at full‑screen APL, 450 nits in HDR at 10% APL, and a peak of 1000 nits at 3% APL. Combined with a typical contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1 and theoretically infinite dynamic contrast, the monitor is positioned to deliver deep blacks and vivid highlights characteristic of modern OLED displays.
The AGLR coating adds anti‑glare and anti‑reflection performance, helping maintain clarity in bright rooms as well as a harder protective surface of 3H. The monitor supports multiple color spaces - including sRGB (100%), DCI‑P3 (99%), and Adobe RGB (98%) - and outputs native 10‑bit color. Factory calibration targets Delta E below 1 in sRGB, underscoring its suitability for creators alongside gamers.
Motion performance is driven by a 0.03 ms gray‑to‑gray response time and Adaptive Sync support, enabling smooth gameplay with minimal tearing. The monitor carries a ClearMR 9000 rating and includes a suite of gaming‑focused enhancements such as low‑input‑lag mode, dark‑scene optimization, night‑vision enhancement, racing‑assist tools, sniper window, SmartImage Game presets, and real‑time refresh‑rate monitoring.
Comfort and durability features include hardware‑level low‑blue‑light compliance, flicker‑free operation, EasyRead mode, and a full PowerSensor suite capable of detecting presence, ambient light, brightness levels, and color temperature. These sensors help reduce power consumption and maintain visual comfort throughout long sessions.
Connectivity is comprehensive: two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 hub with USB‑B uplink, USB‑C downlink with 15W power delivery, and two USB‑A ports. Audio is handled through a headphone output and a pair of built‑in 5W speakers, with THX tuning listed as pending.
