Philips presents a 27" curved monitor from its E line with ultra-colorPhilips has presented a new monitor from its E line that has a 1800R curvature and ultra-color. Philips 278E8QJAB is equipped with a 27-inch VA panel and a W-LED backlight. Its aspect ratio is 16:9 and the resolution is 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz. The GTG response time measures 4 ms, the typical brightness is specified as 250 cd/sq.m., and the static contrast ratio is 3000:1. The panel covers 130% of the sRGB color space and 104% of the NTSC one. The monitor features a DisplayPort, VGA, HDMI, two 3W built-in speakers, and an ergonomic stand that provides tilt adjustment. Some of the most interesting technologies on board include Flicker Free, SmartImage Lite (with the pressing of a single button, it enhances in real time the contrast, color saturation and sharpness of images and videos), and SmartContrast (automatically adjusts colors and controls backlight intensity to dynamically enhance contrast). The Ultra Wide-Color technology provides a wider spectrum of colors for making images and videos look more vivid. The model will go on sale in March, priced at around EUR 270.Source
