AOC AGON AG274FZ2 is unveiled with a 280Hz 27" IPS display and human-machine interface controllerExactly an year after the introduction of the AOC AGON AG274FZ, AOC unveiled its successor - the AOC AGON AG274FZ2. So far in China only. The two models are almost identical.

They both use 27-inch IPS displays with an FHD resolution, 110% sRGB color space coverage, 400 nits of brightness with VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, 1 ms GTG response time, 0.5 ms MPRT. The ergonomic options are also one and the same - clockwise pivot, up to 120 mm of height adjustment, +/-20-degrees of swivel, and -5 to 23 degrees of tilt. The connectivity options are also almost entirely identical - two HDMI 2.0 ports, two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, USB Type-B port, headphone jack, and microphone in jack. The new model adds a microphone out jack. Both monitors have 5W speakers with DTS.

The differences. The AOC AGON AG274FZ2 increases the refresh rate from 260Hz to 280Hz via the DisplayPort inputs. Via the HDMI ones, it remains the same - 240Hz. The various features remain the same, including AMD FreeSync Premium certification, but the Chinese model does not mention NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible certification. Probably when it visits Europe and/or the USA it will get one. Finally, the new model arrives with a human-machine controller interface.
