LG announces several new monitors with Nano IPS technology and Thunderbolt 3This morning LG has announced a trio of new desktop monitors, which it will showcase at the CES 2018 in early January next year. These will be upgraded models with LG's Nano IPS technology, Thunderbolt 3 and support for HDR600 with an even higher dynamic range of peak brightness. The Nano IPS tech involves the application of nanometer-sized particles to the screen's LED to absorb excess light wavelengths, which enhances the intensity and purity of on-screen colours for a more accurate and life-like viewing experience. The first monitor to offer this technology is the 32-inch UHD 4K LG 32UK950 which covers 98% of the DCI-P3 colour space. It is also the first Thunderbolt 3 docking display to support 4K daisy chaining, allowing a set-up of dual 4K monitors. The model arrives with LG's signature Edge-ArcLine Stand and stunning 4-Side Edge Borderless Design. The second new monitor that will be showcased at the CES 2018 in Las Vegas is the 34-inch UltraWide LG 34WK95U with a 4-Side Edge Borderless Design and a slim Edge-ArcLine Stand. It has a 21:9 aspect ratio and a 5K resolution (5120 x 2160 pixels). The model is made for users who multitask extensively, such as video editors, photographers and software and app developers. The monitor supports Nano IPS technology, fantastic colour reproduction capabilities and HDR600. It also has a Thunderbolt 3 port, which enables the transmission of 5K images at 60Hz with a single cable.

Finally, the LG 34GK950G is expected to attract attention as this is LG's latest QHD gaming monitor and couples the Nano IPS and high-speed G-Sync tech.

"Most of us spend hundreds of hours in front of monitors every month and yet it's one of the least likely products to get upgraded when higher productivity is desired," said Chang Ik-hwan, head of LG's IT business division. "With these latest premium monitors from LG, we wanted to communicate that LG is absolutely committed to delivering the best possible screen resolution and the best user experience on a desk or workspace."Quelle
