Hisense U9E presented as the world's first multi-screen TV

8 Juli 2019, 11:41:05

Hisense U9E presented as the world's first multi-screen TVHisense has announced "the world's first multi-screen TV" dubbed Hisense U9E. Dr. Liu Weidong, the chief scientist of Hisense, explained that the so-called multi-screen has two layers/panels - upper and lower. The upper focuses on colour control, while the lower one is focused on blacks and whites for fine dimming, high contrast and greater detail. He stressed that the core technology is Hisense's unique overlay control algorithm. For the first time in the industry, 5 chips are used to achieve efficient coordinated control of the backlight layer, the light control layer and the image layer. Through the sub-pixel level control, the static contrast of the LCD TV is raised from the previous maximum of 10,000 to more than 100,000.

Yan Guiguan, director of the China Electronics Fourth Academy Audio and Video National Inspection Center, announced the test data from the National Inspection Center: the contrast of Hisense U9E has reached 150,000:1; at the same time the peak brightness, colour gamut coverage and key image quality indicators such as colour accuracy exceed HDR certification requirements for OLED TVs.

Hisense announced that the price of the 65-inch TV is 17,999 yuan, which exceeds the price of Sony's 65-inch LCD image flagship product this year. It will also launch 55-inch and 75-inch sizes next year. In this regard, Wang Wei, general manager of Hisense, admitted that there is no shortage in lower-priced brands and products. What the Chinese market is lacking is a real A-grade product that meets consumers' personalized, high-end quality of life. He said: "We just want to sell TVs that are more expensive than Sony. We want to lead the Chinese TV industry to the high end of the industrial chain. If it is not Hisense, who else?"Quelle
