LG Display has obtained an OLED lighting safety standard test laboratory certificationLG Display has received a certification from TUV SUD, a global testing and certification body, to conduct OLED lighting safety specification tests in its OLED lighting safety laboratory, which is the first in the world. This means that LG Display's safety verification technology and reliability of its own laboratory have been recognized internationally. This will significantly reduce the time and cost of safety certification and, ultimately, will strengthen LG's OLED business. Last year, LG Display received an eco-friendly certification for TV displays from SGS, an environment-friendly certification body.

"The acquisition of OLED lighting safety standard certification is an international recognition of LG Display's quality verification capability in the field of OLED," said Bae Jong-wook, director of basic technology research at LG Display. "Based on this, we will work hard to expand OLED lighting competitiveness." said.

"LG Display OLED is the next generation lighting, and I will spare the necessary support for the recognition of quality and safety in the international market," said Jeff Thorpaker, Managing Director of Product Certification Division of TUV SUD Korea.Източник
