Dell announces a trio of monitors with Dell HDRDell has announced a trio of desktop monitors with HDR support. The Dell S2318NX, S2418NX, and the S2718NX feature the manufacturer's InfinityEdge design with minimalist bezels on all four sides and very slim profile. All three are equipped with AH-IPS panels with a flicker-free WLED backlight, and a 23-, 23.8-, and a 27-inch diagonal size, respectively. The resolution is 1920 x 1080 pixels at 60 Hz. The typical brightness and static contrast ratio measure 250 cd/m² and 1000:1, correspondingly. The GTG response time is 6 ms. The stands of all three models provide cable management and tilt adjustment only. The panels of the 23.8- and the 27-inch models cover 99% of the sRGB color space. The one of the 23-inch model covers 82% (CIE 1976). The 23- and 27-inch displays have a low haze coating, meaning they are glossy with only a pinch of anti-glare treatment. The 23.8-inch model has a regular anti-glare treatment of the panel. Another difference is that the largest display supports AMD FreeSync via HDMI. All three models have a VGA, HDMI port and audio line-out. When you look into the details, it turns out that these monitors support Dell's HDR technology, created to make a visual enhancement that brings experience to that of real HDR, but the displays lack the technologies that suggest real HDR support. Dell S2318NX is priced at USD 210. Dell S2418NX costs USD 260, but is currently on promotion for USD 200 on Dell's website. Dell S2718NX is priced at USD 350, which has been lowered to USD 270.Source
